Transferring ROES Pager Templates to JDLab2You Favorites

Follow the steps below to move the pager templates you’ve designed in ROES Pro software to JDLab2You.

Note that pager templates are now called “favorites.”

If you have not already installed JDLab2You, click here to install it first. A new icon will appear on your desktop.

WINDOWS Users

1. Close both JDLab2You and ROES.

2. Go to “Computer” and browse to this folder: C:\Users\<your user name>\.JDPhoto.
(on Windows XP, this would be C:\Documents and Settings\<your user name>\.JDPhoto)

3. Copy the file templates.xml.enc (extension may not be visible).

4. Paste the file into this folder: C:\Users\<your user name>\.JDLab2You

5. Look for the file C:\Users\<your user name>\.JDLab2you\mytemplates.xml. If it exists, delete it.

6. Open JDLab2You and close it.

7. Open the file C:\Users\<your user name>\.JDLab2You\mytemplates.xml with Notepad.

8. Search for “JD Photo Imaging’s Remote Order Entry System” and replace with “JD Lab 2 You” (without quotes). You must enter the strings exactly as shown with capitalization and spaces. If you are uncomfortable performing this step, send the file mytemplates.xml as an attachment to Max@jdlab.com and we will do it for you.

9. Save and close the file.

10. Open JDLab2You, you will see your pager templates in the “Favorites” window.

Mac Users

1. Click Go on the main Finder menu and choose “Go To Folder…”

2. Type ~/.JDPhoto and click Go.

3. Copy the file templates.xml.enc (extension may not be visible).

4. Click Go on the main Finder menu and choose “Go To Folder…”

5. Type ~/.JDLab2You and click Go.

6. Paste templates.xml.enc into the folder.

7. Look for the file mytemplates.xml. If it exists, delete it.

8. Open JDLab2You and close it.

9. Click Go on the main Finder menu and choose “Go To Folder…”

10. Type ~/.JDLab2You and click Go.

11. Attach the file mytemplates.xml to an email and send to Max@jdlab.com. We will update the file and return it to you via email.

11. Copy the new version of mytemplates.xml from the email into the ~/.JDLab2You folder.

12. The next time you open JDLab2You, you will see your pager templates in the “Favorites” window.
