A workshop titled, “Lighting for Fun and Profit” by Claude Jodoin will be held Tuesday, September 20 at 6:30pm at the Troy Community Center (directions). The class is sponsored by the Detroit Professional Photographers Association (DPPA) and JDLab.
No matter what part of the market is being served by your studio, getting the images right in the camera saves countless hours on the computer later trying to fix bad exposures and color casts.
Using simplified methods, Claude will show you how to master any light in any situation using all modern lighting tools. You will learn how to create several different looks in salable portraits using window light, umbrellas, boxes, diffusers and reflectors. With a slide show that features all images, pullbacks, and live demonstrations, all your questions will be answered.
Continuous light will be used for live demos, so photographers are encouraged to bring a still or video camera to record the setups.
The workshop is free to DPPA members, or $45 per guest. Click here to register online.
