The Georgia Professional Photographer’s Association Annual Retreat is coming up September 30 to October 2, 2017 in Jekyll Island, GA.
You cannot appeal to a target audience if you don’t know who you’re targeting. While you may have a general idea of whom your customer is, it is imperative that you really understand what drives him or her. Once you know who you’re talking to, then you will know how to talk to them.
Every professional photographer is also a business, and like any business, there are different kinds of insurance you must have. Fortunately, the Professional Photographer’s Association (PPA) has a full package of the most important types of insurance every photography business should have.
In addition to the educational benefits offered by PPA, here is a quick list of insurance programs they offer:
The Professional Photographers of America (PPA) will host an online webinar titled “Email Best Practices: Power, Peril, and Productivity” on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 2pm EST. This webinar is FREE, and is open to all photographers regardless of skill level.
These free webinars are an opportunity for non-members who may have considered joining PPA, but didn’t know if their educational programs were worth the cost. Here’s an easy way to find out.
For two weeks in October, dozens of studios across the country will invite attendees to join daily workshops featuring portrait and wedding photography, posing and lighting, digital retouching and workflow, and sales and marketing strategies. It’s a chance you won’t want to miss—a full day of photography education brought to you by fellow professional photographers. All photographic classes will be held October 3-17, 2016, so you’ll be able to find one that fits your educational needs and your schedule!
For the third consecutive year, the International Photographic Competition judging will be streamed live on Stream.theIPC.org July 31- August 4, 2016.
The live stream is a great opportunity for professional photographers to immerse themselves in the world of PPA competition, and follow the judges as they critique images and even decide scores. During streaming, viewers will get the chance to see exactly what the judges are looking for, what they like and don’t like, and understand the method behind the 12 Elements of a Merit Image.
